My partner and i recently stayed at Beam Reach with friends and from the moment we arrived it felt like home from home. A short walk from the beach and set in lovely extensive, gardens with a large pool, Beam Reach is a peachful, relaxing holiday home.
The accomodation is clean, comfortable and well appointed with all the utilities, The owner has thought of everything to help make a stay relaxing and pleasant. A fully equiped kitchen, well stocked library of books, dvds and games, they even suppied logs coal and firelightes for the open fire!.
Views from every room are gorgeous, looking out over the gardens and surrounding hills and sea.
Local amenities are close at hand with a Tesco a couple of minutes drive and some lovely places to eat nearby.
We loved our stay at Beam reach and would highly recommnend it to any one wanting a relaxing, comfortable place to stay that feels like home.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had booked the right place for a friends 50th Birthday celebration week.
The house itself is huge with four good size (double) bedrooms on the lower level with great views of the garden. The master has an en-suite and another bathroom sits on the lower level. All are clean and nicely decorated. The beds are all very comfortable.
The middle level hosts the fully equipped utility room, toilet, hallway and huge kitchen which is well equipped and has everything you need to cater for up to eight people.
On the top level there is the large open lounge with patio doors leading onto a huge terrace with amazing views of the beautiful gardens and the ocean. The lounge is also well equipped with a DVD player, sky and broadband. There is also a large selection of books, DVDs and board games.
The kitchen opens onto another terrace with a table and chairs which also overlooks the gardens and ocean.
The gardens are absolutely stunning and maintained to a very high standard. The pool is on a lower level of the garden which is very safe and surrounded by a fence and gate. The pool is also covered and easy to pull the cover back and forward when needed. This also keeps the pool fairly warm. We managed to swim in here daily in May. Around the pool is an ample supply of sun loungers, chairs and a table, there are also inflatables and body boards for the kids to play with.
The house is in a fantastic location within easy walk to the closest beach. You can also drive or walk to Tesco and a few other shops such as a bakers etc within a few minutes. We would also highly recommend Austells and Eastern Paradise restaurants where the food was fantastic and just a few minutes walk. We definitely would recommend Pie Night at Austells on a Tuesday.
The house is also in easy reach of most of Cornwall's other beaches, towns, The Eden Project and many other sites in and around the Cornish coast.
As stated above the gardens here along with the pool are truly stunning. We would highly recommend this house and will definitely be re-booking for any future special trips to Cornwall.
Beam reach in Carlyon Bay Cornwall is a fabulous place to stay for any period of time for leisure or business.
The house is very spacious and well laid out with 4 double bedrooms on the lower ground for privacy & peacefulness and living space on the ground and 1st floor which had great views of the sea ESP at sunrise and moon rise. We used the fireplace the first night which was lovely and cosy.
The kitchen is fully equipped, large fridge and freezer Kentucky of crockery and dining seating for 8 plus. There is outdoor seating straight off the kitchen viewing onto the south facing garden which was perfect for breakfast and lunch with lovely sunshine.
The south facing garden was the highlight for me personally, full of camellias! My three boys aged 14, 10 and 6 years old did not want to leave the house especially the large (I think 50 ft c 20ft ) pool which was heated to 31 degrees which we all spent hours in in the beginning of April!
The large Flat screen TV with sky channels and free wifi was a real hit with the the boys ESP the teenager and our pug dog felt especially at home with plenty of space in the garden to run around with the boys We felt no need to leave for day trips or sightseeing as we had all we needed in the property to relax enjoy and not get bored.
I would totally recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a getaway or longer holiday to either chill or sightsee the beautiful cornwall Coast which is minutes away by walk.
Two bathrooms and toilets and extra grd floor loo was useful and off street secure parking for three vehicles was convenient and the drying room came in very handy we so many swims in one day with so many of us.
We look forward to going there again soon. I fully recommend this holiday home for one family or 2/3 families sharing.

We booked here in order to do more of the coast path, but when the family found out, we ended up with six adults and one toddler as we all love Cornwall, therefore slightly less of the walk was done! We were not disappointed.
The house itself is large and spacious with everything you could need. The gardens are beautifully maintained (thanks Barry), and of course the wonderful pool. We all had a great time without having to be in each other's way.
The house is in a peaceful location, but very handy for shops, restaurants, pubs and the coast. Any minor problems we had were immediately sorted out and I have no hesitation in recommending Beam Reach.
We were all sorry to have to leave!

Carlyon Bay is a wonderful place to base your holiday.
It is a big house with plenty of room for a large family to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. It's quirky topsy turvy layout makes the most of the house and there are wonderful views of the beautiful garden and sea from the upper patio.
The house is very well equipped with everything you need.
The pool is fantastic and huge and in the sun for most of the day in the south facing garden.
The house is in a lovely quiet road so it's very peaceful both day and night.
The beach is just down the road and Charlestown is about a ten minute drive away and has a couple of lovely pubs that serve food too. There is a big supermarket just minutes away for any essentials as well as St . Austell being just a short drive with a variety of shops.
Carlyon Bay is an ideal place to stay if you want to explore Cornwall too and many places are easily reached in around a hours drive or less.
The property owner is very helpful and quick to respond to any queries, which gives peace of mind should you need to contact them.
We would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation recommending to others.

We had the pleasure of recently staying at Beam Reach for the week.
The property and gardens are beautiful.
The weather was nice enough for us to use the excellent swimming pool every day.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of inflatable toys for the children to use.
In addition to this the property includes all the mod cons a family could need for their stay.
The house is located in a convenient area, with plentiful choice of good restaurants, attractions and amenities.
We would happily highly recommend the property to anyone seeking a private and peaceful location.
