Fantastic holiday

Three of us (and two dogs) stayed in Beam Reach in June this year and had a fabulous time. The house is large enough that we all had room to have our own space, and indeed between the huge house and extensive gardens it was sometimes hard to find each other!
The dogs loved the gardens and spent a huge amount of time chasing each other all around the place (and studiously avoiding coming anywhere near the fenced in area around the pool in case a splash of water came into contact with them - I suspect they thought it was a giant bath of doom.)
The heated and cosy pool was absolutely the human's favourite thing though, and although we didn't get the best weather when we stayed we didn't let it bother us and simply became the crazy Scottish people swimming in the rain. You're wet anyway after all!
The master bedroom was absolutely lush with wardrobes with interior lights, a massive bed, wooden flooring and an ensuite down a very short corridor which boasted underfloor heating, which was lovely after the aforementioned swimming in the rain. The downstairs bedrooms were all lovely as well, and the living room had a comfortable sofa arrangement with an attached room with masses of books, games and DVD's for those rainy days. The kitchen was very well equipped, and has left me with a sad longing for the crushed ice dispenser...
Everything was clean and ready for us on arrival, and the house was lived in enough that we felt comfortable and welcome. David replied to emails promptly when required, and our deposit was returned within a week.
I'm afraid we can't comment too much on the area's attractions having spent far too long in the pool and lounging around the house, but we did venture out to the Eden Project and to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and a few neighbouring villages as well, all of which was most pleasurable. Can confirm that Dominoes delivers, for when you're so busy relaxing you just can't face cooking too!
