Beam Reach - a great place to stay for Beaches

Our nearest Beach is about 15 minutes walk along the Coastal Path, with it's stunning cliff-top views.
There are so many great beaches within a short drive.
Here is the nearest Beach & three other of our favourites...
Carlyon Bay Beach

Carlyon Bay Beach is one of the largest on Cornwall's South Coast, and it's a short walk from the house.

It's long and wide and has beautiful soft sand. It's sheltered by high cliffs and the shallow waters make it great for swimming.

The fore-shore is part of a £250 million redevelopment that is now under way.

Pentewan is a charming little villange about 20 minutes drive from Beam Reach.

There are places to eat and drink, and a lovely collection of local businesses.

Pentewan Beach is beautiful. Over half a mile long & very wide, it has soft golden sands. There are sand dunes, a small river, and pretty cliffs at one end to give a little shelter.

Polkerris Beach

Polkerris is a charming medieval town, with beach and harbour.

The town hangs off the west side of the Fowey estuary where the large, deep water harbour is a magnet for the yachting crowd, with lots places to eat and drink overlooking the beach and harbour. A recommended outing.

Caerhays Castle, which is owned by the Williams family, is located in a sheltered valley overlooking Porthluney Cove.

It’s surrounded by beautiful parkland and woodland gardens, and there‘s a sandy beach with plenty of space to run and play and a shop selling ice creams, snacks and beach toys.
